“ I love bootlegger's it's a really cool location on right over the river walk and it has a nice ambiance. They have great pimento dip and omg their burgers . Good service too. ”
“ Bootleggers provides an excellent dinner environment for anyone in the Lynchburg area. There are a variety of great appetizers that are available to start off- such as the tremendous buffalo chicken dip. Furthermore, the portions sizes are very generous (especially with the sweet potato fries). You can sit in the relaxing booths, the bar, or get the outdoor view of the beautiful Lynchburg hills. The servers provide great recommendations on what to eat- but no matter what you get you should be satisfied. The only big issue with this restaurant is parking, as this is very tricky in Lynchburg, but this restaurant on the cliff is nevertheless a solid choice. ”

“ Got take out here while passing through. I got the bourbon mushroom burger and LOVED it. It's a little sweet and very tasty. My friend got the Hunter's burger and liked it as well. They were pretty packed (but it was a Friday night) so the order took a little longer than estimated but the staff was very nice and on top of it. Just keep it in mind if you are ordering take out and it's a weekend that the place is pretty popular. 100% I will be stopping back here next time I pass through. Best burger I have had in a while! ”

“ The service was wonderful. Our waiter Gabe did an amazing job. He was so thorough, accommodating and polite. The location overlooking the river was very cool. The decor was moonshiner chic which was funny. They have all these photos of mountain people that look like they were taken by the same folks who take the photos for Abercrombie- it made me chuckle. The food was casual and good. Lots of burgers. I think they put some whiskey in my cosmo which also gave me a laugh. If you like whiskey or moonshine you will not be disappointed ”
“ I loved that pimento grilled cheese was on the menu here! I ordered it without the bacon and with a side of sweet potato fries. Both were delicious. The grilled cheese was filled with an adequate enough of cheese that was creamy and had the right amount of spice, but the bread was a bit burnt on the sides. I still thought the sandwich was enjoyable with well-balanced flavors. The fries were cooked perfectly. The service was prompt and friendly. We were able to eat outside, which was very nice, with a dog as well. I'd love to come back again to try more of what they have to offer. ”
“ Bootleggers was cool. It was on my list of restaurants to try in the Lynchburg Virginia area. We came here on a Friday night. For a party of 3 there was about a 35 min wait. During the wait I ordered a drink at the bar. Pretty decent old fashioned. I've had better. The bartenders were all super nice and helpful. Once seated we ordered apps . Panko crusted onion rings and deviled eggs. Both were good. The portions were perfect for sharing. Entrees: I had just the classic burger (with some pink). It was ok. Definitely seem to be missing something but I enjoyed the burger. Others in my party also had a burger with sweet potato fries and mini corn dogs and tots. They enjoyed their meals. I ordered a beer flight, 3 IPAs and a wheat beer to accompany my meal. The beers were nice. I really enjoyed the service and the ambiance was rustic, large pictures of working people was the decor. It was different but in a good way. Patio seating available and will be perfect in the warmer months ahead. I will definitely be back to this establishment located in downtown Lynchburg! Street parking available as well as parking lots near by in walking distance. ”
